What I have tried for the first time in my life today is having a Manicure/ Pedicure.
After much surveying around, I choose to give my first time to LadyFinger.

I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and profession of the manicurists.
They engage you to some conversation while filing your nails with swift yet gentle strokes.
If they sense that you want to be left alone (like in my case where my eyes were glued on the screen of one of the two 37″ LCD TV), they will do their job quietly.
The hygiene level is rather high too, they will use new towels to place on the footrest, and on the cushion which doubles as a hand rest for manicure. At least I know that I will not be stepping barefoot on some strangers’ dead skin shreds, eeks..
I was very sua ku as I did not have my cuticles pushed nor cut before, I was abit worried that it might hurt, but no it was pleasant (:
Being indecisive in selecting the colors to apply on my nails, she patiently recommend and painted on a few colors that I have my sight on on my nails to see the results better. Thumbs up!
Instead of the open-concept that some shops have, I love the fact that the area where we are being served are hidden behind, this gives us more ease and privacy. Another thumbs up!
The seats are cushiony soft and with two staffs servicing you (one each for mani and padi), it was such a pampering and luxurious experience, almost too comfortable I thought I’ll dozed off, if not for the HK Drama shown on TV.
The 60 mins passed so quickly, I was rather reluctant to let it end.
Best of all was there was no pressure on me to sign up any form of package nor ‘upgrading’ my classic pedi to some spa pedicure etc. No selling of products for whatever excuse they can chalk up e.g. dry feet or fungus in the nails etc, no asking for you to make next appointment either. Pure enjoyment.

LadyFinger was a right choice I had made.
Although the space is rather small (for 6 customers at a go), but is the ideal size as one can imagine if there are 10 over staffs there plus some 10 over customers, the place would be like a marketplace, not my choice for some peace and comfort. However, do remember to book in advance.

I have given Nails Palace a miss as I have heard many negative reviews regarding how manicurist constantly hound and pressure their customers to sign on some few hundreds to thousands dollars packages in the middle of the mani/pedicure session, as if threatening to stop painting their half-done nails if they did not agree to the offer.
If you somehow managed to strictly insist that you don’t want any of their package by showing them your empty wallet, they will show you face as black as charcoal and service like hell.
They are so pushy because they will earn extra commission if they successfully got the deal. When customers replied saying they do not have that much cash on hand, they even insist that you can pay 50% and the balance on the next appointment!
No Package = No Talk
How desperate does that sounds?

Hence I’m pretty sure if you were to visit their outlets, you will be facing a group of sales girls who focus on hard-selling instead of making the customers satisfied.
You might be tempt at the prices that they show on their posters, but trust me, these are not inclusive of ‘hidden charges’ and the constant hard-selling tactics that will welcome you and also leave you fuming mad, instead of the initial thoughts to relax and destress.
Once there, and you will not return.

Wow, she striked the bull’s eye! I agreed to it immediately, thinking about how true and realistic that sentence is.

The process was so damn long, nearly 3 hours (I was rushing for time).
The curling rods etc was extremely hot and uncomfortable, I was so worried my hair would burn before it becomes perm.

This was a totally wrong move, I was horrified because the curls looked so ugly on me..
I got the impression like my hair is like maggi mee.

Looking at my once perfect – now chemically & heat damaged hair, feeling the pinch of my hard-earned money flying away, seeing the ugly perm on me, reminding myself that I will be staying like this for at least half a year, I cried =(
It is damn sad, no matter how much I dislike my previous hairstyle, I think this is the first time I cried after I had a change.

So much regrets, why did I waste my money and sacrifice my flowy tresses for this ugly dry hair that looked like weed/ maggi mee.
Well, at least I have tried it before and know it does not suits me. Because what the stylist said is correct, it’s the case of ‘Sooner or Later’…
I would prefer it to be ‘Now or Never’ =(

Regret LAH!

After a few days, the curl loosen itself and does not seems to be as tight as when I first had the perm.
Reason because I hated the perm, I didn’t take care of it, did not use the curling formula lotion to sustain the perm. Instead I used hair-straightening shampoo.
So I started to like it a little.. Perhaps I have started to accept this as part of me.
Hmm, hope the curls will be smoother as the time passes by, by then my hair will be longer and hopefully nicer-looking.

Imagine how hard it is to keep myself awake doing all that boring jobscope.
When hearing/seeing people yawning (even MSN emoticons of Zzz and yawning), hearing or just by thinking of that word ‘sleep’, and I will have a sudden urge to sleep.
And once it got so serious, I had to go to the empty conference room at 3rd level to SLEEP.. but only slept for ten mins or so, cannot sleep in peace =X

YES, it is THAT exaggerating.
And, I finally accepted that I am very much sleep-deprived.

THEREFORE, I have set myself a goal last week – To be asleep by 12 am everyday!

It might be pretty simple for some.
BUT WHAT AM I DOING NOW – AT THIS TIME??! 

SHIT, I managed to keep to my goal for like, 2 days?
Someone, please coax me, remind me, or force me to go to bed.

Another time, then

• A guy with a big fat bank account but who is a spender? OR
• A guy with good financial habits?

My pick will be to marry a guy who have good financial habits even if at the moment, he does not yet have a fat bank account, rather than a guy with a fat bank account but who is obviously a big spender.
The fat bank account won’t last forever, but a guy with good financial habits (e.g. save 60%, spend 40%) will surely grow a bank account.

BUT If you were previously a big spender, it’s not too late of course.

People grow and matured with time, and time changes one’s mindset and thinking.
This is what I truly believe in.

I recalled when I was a kid, wearing my mum’s high heels, draping my bath towel or blanket on myself, secretly putting on lip color, clipping on bling hair accessories and picturing myself as a pretty bride waiting for the prince charming to remove my veil.
This, I’m sure was once every little girl’s dream as they watch fairytales and experienced their aunts or cousins’ marriage.

Dream Wedding Gown

I have always loved long wedding gowns and remembered how lovely all the brides looked as they are dressed in snow white, long flowy wedding gowns and wishing one day I’ll be like them.

But! As I grow older, I doubt this will ever happen to me because… ‘Why am I so short petite?!’
Wearing a long gown is gonna make me look even tinier, aww… childhood dream dashed.

Alright, so instead of the gorgeous pure white gown, I have decided to put on a short gown white dress. It’s not like I have much of a choice, unless I want to look like I’m stuck inside a pile of white clothing or does a pair of 10inch heels exist? I don’t think that will be feasible though even if there is.

But a wedding gown is NOT a wedding gown if it is going to be short.
It will just be like another party dress =(
It pales in comparison with the usual norm, of course.
Lucky there is the veil, else no one will recognise me as the bride. And that will be very disappointing.

I wanted to learn Saxophone when I was still a kid, but I do not have that stamina of bringing out the rich music.

I finished watching Boys Before Flowers (aka Boys Over Flowers).
Super nice!!! The OST is superb too.
I think I want to rewatch all over. Keke.. =))

I love Jan Di’s character, positive, bears with hardship and never gives up.
She is kind and also stands up to her beliefs, protective of friends and love ones.

Initial Hairstyle of Ji Hoo (drama)

Between the 4 guys (F4), I like Ji Hoo the most, the troubled and emotional guy who often appears in the drama with the melancholy look.
Perhaps it is because of his thoughtfulness and care that he shows Jan Di and never fails to turn up for her whenever she needs a shoulder to cry on.
He is also the first guy that make me think that some guys can actually look good with long hair.

Sweet Couple

Kind of sad though, that he didn’t end up with Jan Di.
But for a typical korean drama, it is rather expected, ya?
